Membership FAQs
What is membership-based primary care? +
Membership-based primary care (also called direct primary care or concierge medicine) is a model where you pay a simple monthly fee directly to your doctor — and in return, you get unlimited visits, direct access, and truly personalized care. There are no copays for office visits and no surprise bills for the care covered by your membership.
Is membership a replacement for health coverage? +
Membership is not a health plan and does not replace your existing coverage. It covers your primary care visits and Dr. Carney's time. For specialist care, hospitalizations, or other services outside the practice, you would use your existing coverage as you normally would.
I'm healthy and don't see a doctor often. Is this right for me? +
Absolutely. Even if you feel great, almost everyone has health goals they want to work toward — better energy, weight management, preventive care, or simply having a doctor who knows you before something goes wrong. Our model is designed to keep healthy people healthy, not just treat illness after it happens.
Do you offer pediatric membership? +
Yes! Dr. Carney is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, so she can care for your entire family. Pediatric membership is available and family pricing is offered. Please contact us to discuss the right plan for your household.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Membership requires a 3 month minimum commitment. After that, cancellation requires 30 days written notice. We believe in earning your loyalty through the quality of care we provide.
Are MedSpa services included in membership? +
No — MedSpa and aesthetic services are separate and priced transparently on a fee-for-service basis. They are available to both members and non-members. This keeps your membership focused entirely on your primary care needs.
What if I need a specialist? +
Dr. Carney personally coordinates referrals to specialists and stays involved in your care throughout the process. You won't be handed off and forgotten — she follows up to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
